Invitation - Kick-start your investment journey: the what, the why and the how of investing

We’re all familiar with the term “investing”. We’re invested in our favourite show on Netflix, invested in our careers, our friendships, even our Instagram accounts. But are we seriously invested in our financial futures?

You probably don’t need us to tell you that it’s never too late (or too early) to start investing in our future selves. And if you’re looking to learn more, MoneyLens’ first event could be just the right place to begin your investment journey.

We’re a group of young professionals at a FTSE 100 investment company (Schroders). We launched MoneyLens, our jargon-free money website, because we realised that if you take out the acronyms and technical language, money matters are not as intimidating (or scary) as they might initially appear.

Since we launched a little over a year ago we have had thousands of visitors and now we can’t wait to share what we’ve learnt at our first event in London.

Join us on Wednesday 11 September at our 1 London Wall Place office and learn how you could potentially make your money work harder for you.

We are delighted to have guest speaker, money journalist and author Laura Whateley (@LWhateley) joining us. Her book, Money: A User’s Guide, includes all the things you “probs ought to know about personal finance but are too embarrassed to ask”. She’s made mistakes and come out the other side, so come along to hear her story.

And to end the evening, a chance to chat and meet some of the team over drinks.

We hope to see you in September!
